True...but one would argue that those at lower moods benefit from the support of hugs more than those already feeling positive. Although MP isn't intended strictly for those feeling low, it's a great way to express those feelings and find ...
...some empathy. So while many people *Hug* a 10 as if it's a FB Like button, the *Hugs* to low moods indicate support, compassion, and understanding. And which is more meaningful?
Good for you. I am commenting in approval on your positive attitude but not Hugging it cuz I choose to be purposefully difficult. ;)
Yeah! I've got loads, this is a big challenge for me as well. I do an hour of bright light and no screens (phone/computer/tv) in the morning. Then b/f I check any messages or email I meditate.
I try to keep the computer/work out of the bedroom. When I know I need to sleep I 'power down' and no longer look at or answer any messages.
I would *ideally* do that an hour b/f sleep but it hasn't been realistic for me, so I just power down asap. Mabye watch a relaxing movie, but again I think no screens is better at the end (and the beginning) of the day.
Also incentivizing really works for me, so I suggest finding something special that is only for those protected am/pm buffer times.
4 example I'm working on a craft that I only do in the mornings for that 1st hour when I wake up. I also want to get some nice scented lotion for nite to give me a treat when I make it to bed:)
I'm struggling with the same issue. Great advice Katie. Hope we find routines that work for us Trisha!
I have a hard time sleeping too. Awesome tips Katie!
There's is a great free app called breath2 relax. I use it before bed to slow down freeing and clear mind
Thanks a lot guys for the great advice ! Katie deserves a special mention. Everyone of her pointers were scientifically true and effective. I am feeling really relaxed today after meditating and using the blue light filter on the screen.
yesterday I slept at 5 am! today I aim to sleep by 2.15 latest. good luck and good night.
My pleasure! I've been struggling with nite/day reversal since high school and only recently been motivated to keep a self-care routine
Another tip if it can help, suggested by my medtiation mentor for disciplining practice is to meditate b/f you have tea in the morning
Wish everyone the best w/this, it's good to know pandas are there 4 support when I slip in the routine (it happens), and I'll be here 4 u too:)
Hope you can do it
