Well, I think both of you are right. I have a licence, and think it's good to know how to drive a car since circumstances can always appear, but I also haven't driven a car since moving to Berlin. I'm trying to get back into it after almost 10 years,
but I haven't regretted getting my licence.
If you've got decent public transport in your country I disagree with Brandt. You don't need to drive. At all. Also walking and cycling the shorter journeys will make you healthier.
Brandt is right to say believe in yourself, though. You can do it if you want to.
You do need to drive. See if you can find a way to let that negativity bounce off your self-protective shell. Believe only what you feel within and try not to take on board hurtful words of others. We must be the better person even when it's hard.
Think “I will succeed despite you” and then believe you can do it. Practice
And visualize your success and the actions that will take you there. You can do this Kati. We out here in the ether believe.
Some criticism given constructively helps. It's riding a fine line between constructive and hurtful as I discover with my teenage son. A balance I strive to ride to assure him of his abilities with reminders to his accountability.
Oh and BTW I have been spending plenty of time guiding my son as he recently got his learner's permit. I'm trying to take my advice. Even...no, *especially* when it's hard.
John T has a good point. You don't have to drive. I do encourage learning to drive as it is a great thing to know and will give you added flexibility and versatility down the line. Most importantly, believe in yourself. You can do this.
I'm sorry, Kati - I had similar experiences in school and it was very hurtful. Big hugs xx
I relate to this.
Try to distract yourself by doing anything else ...okay video games or leave the house. It's just go to sleep...things are usually better in the morning. Call someone if you're in a really bad place!
There's also medication, PRN sleeping tablets or anxiety pills could help used in moderation.
I don't trust myself with medication
Yeah PRN medications suit some people better than others, I hope you find a solution to your night problems though!
I'm sure she would want to know how you're feeling & would do anything to help you.
ugh did the teacher not respond?
Nope. She just said that everyone has right to their opinion.
And now he made a joke about rapelng😡😡
that's terrible. i have boys like that in my classes too. try to ignore them, they just want attention <3
She calculated how expensive this trip could be and told me that we should go by bus cuz it's cheaper. But it's not how I planned it. And now she wants to talk more about this trip and I'm trying to avoid talking about it.
Ugh do your dream. Buying a van and travelling nature is an adventure. Going by bus to cities is a very different adventure. Do your adventure
... she is just a person who I call grandmother and that's all.
