Well, they want you, which must feel good! Even if you are not sure about the job, it might be good to go for the interview. The more experience you get in it, the better. Then you know what to expect when the dream job comes along.
but once there it was fine. People is nice and I could work quietly most of the time. :)
Good luck for tomorrow! Tell us how it went. If you need some time to yourself, just hide in the bathroom for a few minutes.
Thank you! It went well! I did go to the bathroom a couple times to hide, though!
Good for you!! A new job is very overwhelming at first, so I am pleased you found your little outlet.
... and being able to stay away from my father for a few hours a day... i really hope this is the beginning of some changes in my life... I want to be stronger, get a paid job and leave my father's house to live my own life...
I truly believe I'll be happier once I don't need him anymore, once I have my own life... even if I have to struggle to paid my bills, at least they'll be my own...
and I'll finally have peace, silence, quietness... i'm so so tired of the yelling and teasing and patronizing...
Good luck with the job and your goals
Good luck, really hope you learn a lot and have fun!! It is the first step to a great career. . You go girl!
I don't know how to feel! Happy for being able to go there and do the interview... but is it worth it if I'm not going to get paid anything...?
Will you be able to learn a lot? Can you afford not to have an income, will there be job prospects at the end of the internship? Will you feel comfortable in the internship? Will you be happy there? A lot of questions you can ask yourself. I
I usually make a list with 2 sides, one all the positives the other one all the negatives and see which side wins. Not in how many things you have on each side, but how important they are. If there are only positives and the 1 negative is that you
Can't afford it, than that is the most important one.
You could try it for a bit and reassess after a week or so. Like Lieteke says, if you can afford to, it might be a learning opportunity.
Thank you both for your advice! I feel more positive about it! It could be a good chance to learn... plus I'll have to go out daily instead of being all day home... It's a small office so it won't be so hard for me... being around a lot of people!
Many thanks for taking the time to answer and help! I'm very grateful! :)
No problem. Happy to be of help! Hope you will learm a lot!!!
You can do it Marta. See it as a practice run because there will be others if it's not the job for you. Let us know how it goes, and remember to focus on a reward for after!
Thanks for the hugs and nice words! The interview is today... I feel strangely calm one moment and feel sick the next one... Wish me luck! I prepared for it the best I could so... :/
Having a clean house makes me feel better too!
I do the same, but life can be shaped into something that us as individuals, yes we might need extra care and support, but once you have that you'll take some stopping!
*something that suits us as individuals
I am the same Marta. Please don't worry, there are more people than you would think that are like us & you'll see quite a few here on MP. There is no right or wrong, just do what you can.
Thank you for all the hugs and nice words... but I don't know what to do... I need a job, but I'm terrified of job interviews... I'm trying to make a living from my art online but it's so hard...
I used to make sure I always had a treat or reward planned for after interviews (and dentist!). Also, you need to get it in your head that you are as much interviewing them as they are you. If they are horrid, why would you want to work for them.
Once I started to think that and also believe that if I didn't get the job then it wasn't going to be the right one for me, that made them a little easier to get through. I know it's hard but try to go easy on yourself. *Hugs*
