1. Accept what you feel. 2. Be compassionate to everyone. Forgive yourself if you don't do 1. or 2.
John's advice is perfect. I'd also say that, along with compassion, consider other people. Don't get stuck only thinking of yourself. Remember that other people have their own problems and issues, and forgive them too.
