This will get better as your cardio fitness improves. Keep going.
First step is often the hardest but it's usually alright once you're out there! 😊 Well done, keep going.
You can do it!! Get that heart rate going!
Thankyou all for the encouragement 🥰
Hi Kathryn, try not to worry about one poor nights sleep. Good luck with exercise tomorrow. If you feel high or restless maybe try some mindfulness exercises. Being recently diagnosed may be a little daunting, but with time you will get better at...
Knowing what to do and when, one or two nights bad sleep is ok and could be down to a lot of things, anxiety being one of them. Try not to jump to conclusions, and challenge any negative thoughts
Thankyou Kristian, I ended up watching/listening to some YouTube videos to relax me and I ended up napping 😅 I hope to go for a nice walk this afternoon as it'll be a lot cooler.
hello Kathryn G :) grats on your firstpost!
Thanks Ann :)
Welcome! I lost 30kg in 2018. My tips are high fibre (wholemeal carbs/lots of vegetables) low sugar: 75g daily total max, 25g daily total refined max...and CouchTo5k. If I can do it, you can!
Thanks John! This is really helpful 🥰
That should read: 75g daily total max (includes fructose/lactose/natural sugars) which includes 25g daily refined max (white/brown/honey). Get reading the nutritional information section on all packets! Sweetners are good if you have a sweet tooth!
I've been looking into purchasing lite and easy, which is a food ordering system for weight loss. They have healthy meals and all the right nutrition!
Personally I'd stick to real foods and the normal way you usually shop. It'll probably be a lot more expensive and less varied if you follow a prescribed system. It's up to you, though.
Exercise was my motivation. Seems the wrong way round, but it gave me the will power to stick to the diet. CouchTo5k is great, highly recommend.
Have 12 hours a day where you don't eat anything. Eg. Between 8pm and 8am. This helps with burning fat.
Thankyou for your help~ Im definitely doing to try the couch to 5 k, the 12 hour rule seems really achievable too since I sleep so much
Try to stick to couch to 5k. It'll get you outside 3 times a week. Don't feel bad if you have to repeat a week to build fitness. But I did it at 16 stone+. It gets what you need in your legs and pushes you harder when you are able.
