Feel the same way
There are people who care for you. When the depression hits me, that's exactly how i feel. I reach out to my friends & let them know how I'm feeling and they reassure me.

You have the awareness and this is helpful. From here, you can choose to allow and- with the same function of mind that is aware of the thoughts coming, the anxiety, etc. simply observe- hold your seat and abide in that presence.
What you did is the starting point for mindfulness practice. We take inventory of our state. Emotion: anxiety. Thoughts: 'I am having the thought that...' We acknowledge, embrace... then let go! Not easy, but possible.
