Distract your mind with simple mind tasks- like remembering a song that makes you feel confident. Coping negatively will only hurt in the long run...I know

Take some frustration or rage out on a cardboard box. Giving the shadow an outlet that doesn't harm you or anyone else helps give it a shape.
